My absolute favorite bakery on Long Island (either location!) The best loaves of bread (we go for the sourdough), the best cakes, and the BEST black and white cookies. Always fresh, always delicious. Especially when we're going out of town to visit friends or family, we love to bring something from Dortoni to show them the best baked goods that the island has to offer! I stopped by the Port Jeff bakery on my way to the ferry to CT, picked up a loaf, had a friendly conversation, and basked in the early morning bakery smells. Highly recommend!
Visited Stony Brook and stopped by for quickie cheese cake. Relied on brand name from other stores in Long Island. Reliable. But smaller inventory here
First things first, their customer service was phenomenal. Thank you to the girls that helped us pick out a cake for my brother in law's birthday this evening. Such sweethearts. One of the girls gave us a sample of their hot chocolate and I was blown away. Delicious! Highly recommend when you're in port Jefferson station. I stopped by earlier today for the first time and right off the bat I was intrigued by their selection of cookies and cakes. I have a major sweet tooth and I had to get my mittens on their raspberry tart cookie, I know there's a different name for it but lol so amazing. Freshly made cookies! For my brother in laws birthday we choice the much chocolate cake with the cannoli filling. I was totally in heaven! Absolutely remarkable.
Dortoni Bakery you have a customer for life! We ordered a custom cake for my mother's 70th surprise birthday party. The day before she tested positive for COVID. Not even a full day in advance Dortoni Bakery was able to accommodate us by canceling cake and doing it the following week for NO CHARGE! This is amazing customer service. Yesterday we finally had her party and the cake was AMAZING. I can not tell you how many people commented on how pretty it was and how good it tasted. THANK YOU DORTONI BAKERY!!
The bakery made it such an easy process to taste and place our wedding cake order. The cake came out exactly as expected, beautiful and had a few guests compliment how delicious it was (vanilla cake with raspberry filling and chocolate ganache).
